| Gloria Cotton was born in Birmingham
and studied Art for 3 years on leaving school.
She obtained an SLR camera in 1968 prior to
her first safari for a month in East Africa
and so began a passion for wildlife photography.
This love of nature and travel remains an important
part of her life. |

| As an Orchid expert, her photography
was mainly used to illustrate lectures until
she switched to travel and wildlife photography,
exhibiting and winning numerous awards in competitions
and travelling extensively to obtain her images. |
| |
| In 1994, Gloria was granted
an Association of the Royal Photographic Society
in the Nature category. She continues to regularly
lecture on the subject of wildlife photography
and plans to visit Madagascar in October to
replenish the Visual Exposure library. |
